INCREASE IN BURGLARY

Over the last week Broxtowe  has had 11 reported Burglary dwelling offences.
As significant amount of these have occurred since the weekend and have continued into this week.
9 of the reported offences have been concentrated in the following beat areas 3 Aspley - 3 Broxtowe - 3 Bells Lane.
The main MO for these offences shows that the main point of entry is the rear Kitchen window is forced.The other significant MO is that properties with insecure front doors and windows have been targeted.
Times of offences vary across all three beat areas, but are predominantly during the day and early evening.
It is vital that you report any suspicious people or incidents to Police.Please ensure you do not leave doors and windows open. We have made a couple of arrests, and enquiries are still ongoing.Extra patrols have been put in place.

We have had great success in reducing Burglary over the last 12 months, with a reduction of almost 30% compared to 2010 - 2011.
